Oh yeah I forgot I turned 30

I guess it's true the older you get the more you forget.  Everyone has told me horror stories for as long as I can remember about how horrible it is when you turn 30, but to be honest it's not as bad as everyone says.  I guess it's true what people say "once you turn 30 it's all down hill from there"  and going down hill is a lot easier than up hill people so you might want to look into coming up with a new phrase genius.  I don't feel any different, and for lunch today I ate a whopper, fries and had a Dr. Pepper and so far my thighs haven't exploded yet, but who knows the night is still young.  I've had an amazing 30 years and I can't wait to have another 50 to 60 more.  Oh the greatest thing I received was a card from Tim.  10 years ago my sister was turning thirty I we were trying to find a card for her and I found this hilarious card of a baby crapping himself and the card read look who's pushing turdy.  I almost died laughing--I know so immature but it was 10 years ago. . . ok not much has changed.  I told Tim that he had to get me that card when I turned 30.  obviously that card isn't going to be around 10 years later so he followed my poor little baby around with a camera waiting for the opportune moment and it was AWESOME!!! who would have thought I would have a baby of my own heck 4 babies dumping in their pants to make me smile.  BEST birthday ever. . . um next to the one I spent in Disneyland (Sorrry babe but it's Disneyland).

The Price Is Right.

Every quarter I drive almost 3 hours to go into the office for work and I get paid to party and to play games oh and to eat yummy food--have I mentioned I LOVE MY JOB...  Last time we played minute to win it and I did horribly, but this time we played the price is Right and I love that game!  Bob Barker you are my hero.  I was actually called down and won my showcase and had an awesome time.  I got two new bosses and I love them.  Tim took off of work to watch the kids so I was alone to go on a total spending spree.  I had a great time!

How Not To Be Sexy

How not to be sexy??????????I know most married women probably don't even worry about this but given my history of being a heart breaker/home wrecker, this is on my mind a LOT.  I hate when guys try to hit on you when you are carting around all your kids in the grocery store or even worst when you're 9 months pregnant.  Guys please give a poor girl a break, not all housewives are desperate, and I know most soccer moms are really hot, but there are plenty of dumb ditty single girls to go hit on and take home with you.  I guess to be honest I don't mind all the special treatment and free stuff I get so I guess it's only fair to let the poor guy practice his pick up lines.  I enjoyed the free crazy bread and the guy at the auto store didn't charge me for a part I need today so thanks guys.
So last week I bought a new dress that I thought was totally not feminine or attractive in anyway it has a collar and buttons up like a guys shirt.  oh wait if you are a visual person like me it's similar to this but it's blue and from New York and Company
so when I got home I ask my husband if he like my new dress and I told him I bought it because I was trying to be less sexy and he just laughed and told me that I had failed miserably and told me it looks like something I would put on just to take off because of the buttons down the front.  um look at the dress it's screams not flattering in anyway, but I guess I'm not a guy and my husband is no help to me at all.  I guess it's true if you are a woman and have a pulse then men with find you irresistible.  Oh well.  I guess my energy is better spent elsewhere.  Men.

Corn holeling

So last weekend we went to a BBQ with so people from Tim's work and to bribe us to go B said we will be corn hole- ing. A game that sounds really dirty but it's not. Tim and I have this problem of being wickedly good at any games we play and it really annoys everyone, so we are always banished from being on the same team and we have to try hard to lose at everything. I tried really hard but I just happen to be a really fantastic corn holer. That definitely was the high light of the party--- Bs husband was so adorable he spent hours making the game and even sewed the little bags himself. We left early because there was this creep that wouldn't stop staring at me. Thank goodness he was one of Bs friend and doesn't work with Tim. The first thing I said to Tim when we got in the car was I think I knew everyone except one guy and he not so politely said-- who the freak that wouldn't stop staring at you. Hmmm I think it's time for my hubby to start lifting weights again because he noticed and didn't punch this guy out. I'm just teasing. I always wanted to be famous but mostly for the money not for the crazy stalkers. I've even become a shut in and when in a blue moon I do leave the house it usually sucks like that. Oh well at least Tim had fun, oh and I found an olympic sport I would probably get a gold in. Corn hole ing who knew. Well tomorrow's my birthday so I better get some sleep.

He's got a package for you.....

A little confession......I am a shopaholic!!! I was doing so good when we first moved here but now with Tim working and with his new pay raise and oh I got a raise and didn't even know it whooo hooo, it's been nearly impossible for me not to get a little crazy.

So the other day I was teasing Tim and said the UPS guy is going to think I'm stalking him because he is literally delivering packages about every other day--I do all my shopping online, for obvious reasons so I get a lot of packages.  Very seriously Tim asked me if it was the hot guy.  HUH? Well actually I hadn't noticed, I'm not really one of those desperate housewives that go around checking out other men, sorry babe.

Then he told me that apparently there is this hot delivery man that goes around making women every where very happy to get their packages.  Then he told me that he can always tell when he has stopped by his work because there will be a stack of packages and the lady at the front desk with be glowing and smiling from ear to ear.

At first this made me laugh and I thought about this stupid old movie call Loverboy where the pizza boy delivers pizza to lonely woman and . . . .  I also thought about the guy every girl went on and on about when I worked at the University who was built like the rock and gorgeous and I had to meet him, and he was the sole reason about 90% of the women showed up to work everyday.

Nope I didn't go out of my way to meet this guy so I guess I will never know of his extreme hotness.

Now instead of getting all giddy when my packages arrive I'm so paranoid.  Now that my husband mentioned it this delivery guy really does go out of his way to make his customer happy.  Normally ups delivers just drop the packages and run but this guy waits at the door for me to come get his package which is really annoying because a few times I've been working and had to take a break because he wouldn't leave the packages with my girls and kept asking if their mom was home.  Then when I got to the door to get the packages and I asked if I needed to sign anything he said nope, and just smiled really cheezy  ARRRGGGGG.   Then yesterday after about 10 minutes of him waiting at the door I went to answer it, so he would leave I got a fantastic view if his butt--apparently he had to tie his shoe on his way back to his truck lol.  I now make sure I look hideous any time I have a package coming--sweat pants, no make up, hair messy, glasses etc. given my history of crazy stalkers, I can't be to careful.  I guess this creep is a blessing in disguise because I think I've been cured of my addiction to shopping, but my darling husband has totally sabotaged me because I just checked my amazon shopping cart and he has about 3 text books arriving, a backpack and two other packages coming soon, so I will have to be convenient gone with those packages arrive.

Wow What a Week

Of course I'm not going to blog everyday that would be ridiculous, but once a week. . . we will see.  The first couple of weeks of the new year have been fabulous!! my husband got a $2.50/ hour raise and he's only been with the company for 3 months.  It's so amazing what can happen when you just take that blind leap of faith no matter how backwards, hard, scary or counter productive it may be.  It didn't make sense for my husband to quit his high paying career during the worlds biggest economic crisis, pack up our family away from great schools, and friends, and move out of our gorgeous home, and move to a tiny town with no job, and no place to live.  But we jumped and it has been the best experience ever!  We have a place to live--mortgage and rent free, I was able to keep my job and my husband now has a new job and a works for people who are amazing, and his own business has exploded with projects he almost doesn't have time for, the girls are in an amazing school and we have so much more time to make a difference and actually start living.  I am so so blessed and grateful.  Anyway I'm living proof to just have faith and trust in God.   So my husband came home with the amazing news that he was given a raise and said something I never ever would have heard come out of his mouth in a million years if we hadn't left, and that night as we were about to fall asleep he says to me "you know I feel pretty successful right now."  Oh that was music to my ears--of course he has always been extremely successful as long as I've known him, but no matter how much he was promoted and compensated or recognized or praised he never felt successful, like success was just a few more steps ahead and he couldn't ever reach it.  I'm not sure exactly what finally clicked inside, but he now has this amazing outlook, and fire of self confidence that is irresistible.  Ok live is good enough said.  So we took the kids out to the duck ponds and they rode their scooters around the gazebo, we went out for dinner and lunch a few times, and just did normal family stuff, like bed time stories, game nights, and all the little things that make life sweet.  I can't wait to see what the new year brings.

Day 6

Today I'm grateful for modern Psychology.  So the other day we made our little chore magnets and this morning the girls woke up and did chores without even being asked a mothers dream come true.  We went out to lunch and we stopped by a house we found last night on the MLS.  It's gorgeous and big enough for our basketball team plus one.  I called the realtor but we can't look inside until Monday.  I love my little shack of course but I figured we better look for a bigger place before the girls go stir crazy.  New year goal get our credit in shape to be able to buy a house when needed.  In the mean time it's fabulous not having a morgage payment.
